Taleworlds Expands Portfolio with Strategic Investment in Udo Games

Taleworlds, the renowned developer of Mount & Blade, has acquired shares in Udo Games, a Turkish mobile game studio, from WePlay Ventures and Lima Ventures. This move comes after Udo Games secured $420,000 in funding from the two firms last year. According to WePlay Ventures' chairman, Bora Koçyiğit, Udo Games effectively utilized the investment to achieve significant milestones, prompting an earlier-than-expected exit. Koçyiğit expressed pride in the success of Udo Games and reaffirmed WePlay's commitment to supporting emerging game ventures. Founded in 2013, Udo Games has established itself in the casual gaming space with popular titles like Incredible Toys and Goons.io. Meanwhile, Taleworlds, established in 2005, is gearing up for the release of Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, the highly anticipated sequel to its 2008 hit, Mount & Blade.
