Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just released the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at the 2026 edition of the festival. Among the marquee names are industry heavy‑hitters like Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners rather than official brand booths. Notably, Sony will be absent from the exhibition floor this year, a stark contrast to the presence of Nintendo and Xbox at last month’s European Gamescom event.

The roster also features a diverse mix of technology and game‑development firms, including 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo and several other innovators pushing the medium forward. These companies will share space with a broad array of regional pavilions that underline the event’s international focus. In total, the business area will host booths from twenty‑five different countries and regions, with dedicated pavilions for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation, Thailand. Beyond the exhibition halls, the show will stage a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests designed to connect creators with financiers, publishers and platform owners.

Xsolla has stepped in as the sponsor of the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience” program, which will facilitate face‑to‑face meetings between developers, investors and industry executives, fostering a fertile environment for new collaborations and funding opportunities. The conference component of the business area is equally robust. Over seventy speakers from more than twenty countries will take the stage across four separate auditoriums, delivering talks that cover everything from game design theory to emerging technologies such as cloud rendering and AI‑driven content creation. Veteran game‑maker John Romero, co‑founder of id Software, will headline the keynote session with a presentation titled “Why We Still Make Games.” In recognition of his lifelong contributions to the medium, Romero will also receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Other confirmed speakers bring a wide spectrum of expertise to the program. Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will discuss indie development strategies, while Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will share insights on building large‑scale, user‑generated ecosystems. Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will provide a perspective on navigating the massive Chinese market, and Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will talk about open‑source tools empowering creators. Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will round out the lineup with a session on narrative‑driven game design.

The 2026 edition is being co‑organized by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station, a partnership that underscores the event’s ambition to blend European organizational expertise with local Southeast Asian insight. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the growing international dimension of the show: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business area with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the rapid evolution of the Thai market, noting that the previous year’s attendance of over 200,000 visitors proved that Thailand is not merely a consumer of games but a vital cultural and creative engine for the region. He added that the expanded business zone will give local studios a platform to showcase their work alongside global titans, encouraging knowledge exchange and partnership formation.

The event will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, running from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The business area will be open to industry professionals and media representatives on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B networking, press briefings and partnership negotiations. Looking back, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business area drawing 5,590 professionals from 81 nations over four days.

Those figures set a high bar for 2026, and the expanded exhibitor list, enriched speaker program and heightened emphasis on cross‑border collaboration suggest that the upcoming edition will surpass its predecessor in both scale and impact, solidifying Bangkok’s status as a key hub in the global gaming ecosystem.
