Blockchain Hiring Spree by Everywhere Developer Sparks Curiosity
The unveiling of Everywhere, the inaugural project from former GTA producer Leslie Benzies' new studio, has ignited controversy after observers noted the studio's recent recruitment of blockchain experts. Although the current website does not mention blockchain opportunities, archived versions of the site from June display a dedicated section for blockchain job postings, including positions for a senior backend programmer, smart contract developer, and test engineer. In a statement addressing the matter, the studio clarified that these positions are for research purposes, emphasizing their commitment to exploring new technologies. The company assured that Everywhere is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, but did not rule out the possibility of incorporating blockchain technology in the future, as the two are not mutually exclusive.
