Court Denies AimJunkies' Bid to Dismiss Bungie's Lawsuit

A US District Court judge has turned down AimJunkies' plea to have Bungie's lawsuit against them dismissed. This decision, made by Judge Thomas S. Zilly, was shared on Twitter by Axios reporter Stephen Totilo. Earlier, AimJunkies had served several subpoenas as part of its counterattack against Bungie, alleging that one of Bungie's employees breached the terms of service of its cheat software by buying it and then passing it on to their employer. AimJunkies stated its intention to take legal action against anyone found to have violated its copyrights and terms of service. The lawsuit, originally filed by Bungie in April, was initially thrown out due to insufficient evidence that AimJunkies' cheats infringed upon Bungie's work. However, Bungie re-submitted the complaint. A trial date has now been set for June 2023.
