Gravity Rush Film Adaptation in the Works by Sony
A new film project based on the 2012 action-adventure game Gravity Rush is underway, courtesy of a collaboration between PlayStation Productions and Scott Free Productions. The game, originally developed by Japan Studio's Team Gravity, follows the story of Kat, a character with the ability to manipulate gravity. According to Deadline, Emily Jerome, known for her work on Panopticon, has been tasked with writing the screenplay, while Anna Mastro, whose credits include Shameless and The Bold Type, will direct the movie. At present, it remains unclear whether PlayStation Productions will handle the distribution of the film. This latest development is part of Sony's growing efforts to adapt its PlayStation properties into film and television content. Just recently, it was announced that Days Gone, a 2019 survival horror game, is also set to receive a live-action adaptation.
