Atom Switch Secures $3.4 Million Investment from Hiro Capital and 1Up Ventures

Atom Switch, a Chicago-based game development studio, has successfully raised $3.4 million in funding from investors Hiro Capital and 1Up Ventures. This investment will be utilized to support the development of the studio's inaugural PC and console game, InfestStation, a multiplayer first-person shooter built using Unreal Engine 5. Established in 2013 by CEO and creative director Dan Sandberg, Atom Switch initially operated as a consultancy and freelance studio and currently has a team of six employees. According to the announcement, the studio prioritizes the well-being of its employees and players, emphasizing that a healthy work-life balance and positive work culture are essential for success, rather than relying on excessive working hours or toxic environments.
