According to site owner Robin Scott, the mod was uploaded via a secondary account, indicating the user's intention to circumvent the site's policies. Scott emphasized that Nexus Mods supports inclusivity and diversity, and will not tolerate content that deliberately undermines these values. The site has previously taken steps to moderate content, including banning US sociopolitical content in 2020. Scott noted that users who disagree with this policy are free to delete their accounts, as Nexus Mods reserves the right to decide what content it hosts as a private business.
