Twin Sails Interactive Emerges as Asmodee Digital's New Identity
In a strategic move, Asmodee Digital has unveiled its rebranding as Twin Sails Interactive, signaling a significant shift in its business approach. The company, formerly recognized for its digital renditions of iconic board games such as Gloomhaven, Terraforming Mars, and multiple Catan titles, now aims to concentrate on crafting unique gaming experiences. This new direction involves the development of original indie and AA titles in collaboration with prominent industry partners on premium platforms. To kick-start this transformation, Twin Sails Interactive has announced the upcoming release of two new games: News Tower, a management simulation title developed by Studio Nul Games, and Amberial Dreams, a physics-based 2D platformer created by Lumorama. Nicolas Godement, previously the COO of Asmodee Digital, has been appointed as the managing director of Twin Sails Interactive. According to Godement, the company's vision is to establish itself as a leading game publisher by focusing on a curated lineup of high-quality titles, fostering a team of passionate gaming professionals, and maintaining a work environment that is both safe and enjoyable. By streamlining its annual releases, Twin Sails Interactive intends to allocate the necessary resources to ensure the success of each project. This development comes on the heels of Asmodee's acquisition by Embracer for €2.75 billion last year.
