Soedesco Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Superlumen
Soedesco, a prominent publisher, has announced the acquisition of Spanish virtual reality studio Superlumen, obtaining 100% of its shares for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 2015, Superlumen specializes in creating immersive virtual reality experiences and is also the developer behind the upcoming point-and-click game Desolatium. This strategic acquisition is part of Soedesco's expansion plans, which include the recent establishment of its first Spanish office. The move will enable Superlumen to focus on developing its own intellectual properties and projects, aligning with its long-term goals. Soedesco Ibericá General Manager, Barnando Hernandez, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting Superlumen's talented team, distinct brand, and creative potential. Superlumen CEO, Juan Cassinello, shared his excitement about the opportunity to work with Soedesco, emphasizing the studio's desire to create high-quality video games for its audience. This acquisition follows Soedesco's establishment of its Madrid-based office in March and its development studio in Pilsen, Czech Republic, in 2019.
