Spin Master Acquires Nørdlight Game Studio

Spin Master, a prominent children's entertainment company, has announced the acquisition of Nørdlight, a Sweden-based game development studio. Established in 2019, Nørdlight has made a name for itself with the release of the tower defense game Jotunheim: 1965 and is presently working on a mobile game based on the iconic Rubik's Cube brand. This acquisition comes a year after Spin Master initially invested in the studio. By integrating Nørdlight, Spin Master aims to enhance its digital gaming operations. According to Nørdlight's CEO, Olle Bäck, the decision to partner with Spin Master was driven by the company's shared values and commitment to fostering a creative, indie-inspired studio environment. Spin Master's gaming division already comprises notable studios such as Toca Boca, Noid, and Sago Mini.
