Steam Deck Delivery Times Shortened by Valve

Valve has revealed that the Steam Deck waitlist will be cleared sooner than anticipated. The company stated, "The supply chain issues impacting Steam Deck production are gradually being resolved, and we are increasing production capacity, enabling us to manufacture more units at a faster rate than ever before." As a result, Valve anticipates fulfilling all outstanding reservations by the end of the year, with numerous orders initially scheduled for the fourth quarter now being moved up to the third quarter. The Steam Deck was first introduced over a year ago, but its launch was hindered by component shortages and COVID-19-related factory shutdowns, which caused delays in both the system and its accessories, such as the docking station. Last month, Valve indicated that these challenges were being overcome, stating that it had doubled the production and shipping rate of the system.
