Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has officially released the roster of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of heavyweight developers and publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company. In addition, the presence of Nintendo and PlayStation will be felt through their local partners, ensuring that the two iconic console brands remain visible to the regional audience. It is noteworthy that Sony, unlike its rivals Nintendo and Xbox, did not allocate a dedicated stand at the previous month’s Gamescom event, a decision that sparked conversation among industry observers.
Nevertheless, the Thai‑based showcase still boasts a diverse line‑up beyond the marquee names. Companies such as 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, as well as hardware and technology providers like Razer, AMD and Lenovo, have all confirmed their involvement, promising a broad spectrum of gaming experiences ranging from indie titles to cutting‑edge peripherals. The exhibition’s business area will be markedly international, featuring pavilions representing 25 different countries and regions. Among the highlighted national showcases are Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand.
Each pavilion will serve as a cultural and commercial gateway, allowing local developers to present their projects to a global audience while giving foreign companies a platform to explore Southeast Asian market opportunities. Beyond static displays, the event’s programme includes a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions designed to foster collaboration between creators, publishers and investors.
Xsolla, a leading video‑game commerce platform, will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience" segment, creating a dedicated space where developers can meet potential backers face‑to‑face, negotiate deals, and receive mentorship from seasoned industry veterans. The business zone will also host an extensive speaker series. More than 70 experts from over 20 nations will take the stage across four separate auditoriums. Highlighting the line‑up is Id Software co‑founder John Romero, who will deliver a keynote titled "Why We Still Make Games" and will be honoured with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his enduring influence on interactive entertainment.
Other confirmed speakers bring a wide array of perspectives: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart from AdHoc Studio will discuss studio growth strategies; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will share insights on user‑generated content ecosystems; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will outline the Chinese giant’s approach to global partnerships; Emilio Coppola, Executive Director of the Godot Engine, will speak about open‑source development; and Yoan Fanise, Creative Director and founder of DigixArt, will reflect on narrative‑driven game design. The 2026 edition is a joint effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s growing global focus, stating, "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business area with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by Thailand's Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, added a perspective on Thailand’s evolving role in the industry: "Last year's success, with over 200,000 attendees, clearly demonstrates that Thailand is not merely a consumer market but a driving cultural and creative‑economy force across Asia." The venue for the upcoming showcase is the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the main exhibition running from October 29 to November 1, 2026.
The business area will be accessible to industry professionals and media on the first two days, October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings and partnership negotiations. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, and its business zone welcomed 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.
Those figures underline the rapid growth and international appeal of the event, setting high expectations for the 2026 edition to further cement Thailand’s status as a regional hub for gaming innovation, networking and cultural exchange.
